Currently, students across the world facing learning difficulties are often referred to undergo a psychoeducational assessment.


Often, these tools are cost-restrictive and prevent access to information necessary to support each student’s personal and academic success.


The goal of our Open Source Assessment Initiative is to develop high quality, rigorously tested, accredited assessments that are freely available to school clinicians, counselors, and families.

School Counselors around the world are facing the effects of the student mental health crisis combined with incredibly high student to counselor ratios.

With counselors each responsible for as many as 1000 students each year, we help provide training to identify early warning signs of student mental health crises. This allows counselors to intervene earlier before a case becomes a crisis.

NGO schools often work to provide the best of educational resources to their students, but holistic student wellness is often neglected due to a lack of resources.

Empathy Bridge works with local nonprofits & care providers to support student wellness at under-resourced schools.

• The cost of many commercial psychological assessments is too high for typical patients.
• Many commercial assessments do not have credible alternative opensource assessments

Suitability

• Several widely used commercial assessments were developed by foreign institutions for their local population.
• Culture, behavior, socio-economic backgrounds are vastly different from that of the Indian subcontinent

Accessibility

• Several open-source assessments were developed several decades ago and need to be updated.
• A consistent administering mechanism needs to be developed to ensure the reliability of the results
